Marie-José Massol
In Mirecourt, bobbin lace is an ancient practice. It was introduced in the 16th century by the Dukes of Lorraine.
The discovery, in the attic of a family home, of a notebook of samples dating from the end of the 19th century, enabled the author to bring these old laces up to date in the form of decorative objects. contemporary ornament (place-mats, bookmark, fan...).
Each model is clearly explained. It is accompanied by its diagram, respecting the international colour code, and specific diagrams for its realization.
